UNBLOCK WEBSITES USING TOR

Tor Download

UNBLOCK WEBSITES USING TOR

The Tor software protects you by bouncing your communications around a distributed network of relays run by volunteers all around the world: it prevents somebody watching your Internet connection from learning what sites you visit, it prevents the sites you visit from learning your physical location, and it lets you access sites which are blocked.
The Tor Browser Bundle lets you use Tor on Windows, Mac OS X, or Linux without needing to install any software. It can run off a USB flash drive, comes with a pre-configured web browser, and is self-contained. The Tor IM Browser Bundleadditionally allows instant messaging and chat over Tor. If you would prefer to use your existing web browser, install Tor permanently, or if you don't use Windows, see the other ways to download Tor.
Freedom House has produced a video on how to find and use the Tor Browser Bundle. If you don't see a video below, view it at Youtube . Know of a better video or one translated into your language? Let us know!

Download Tor Browser Bundle and Tor IM Browser Bundle

To start using the Tor Browser Bundle or Tor IM Browser Bundle, download the file for your preferred language. This file can be saved wherever is convenient, e.g. the Desktop or a USB flash drive.
If you have an unreliable Internet connection, it may be easier for you to download the bundle edition which is split up into smaller parts.
Tor Browser Bundle for Windows with Firefox (version 2.2.34-2, 16 MB)
Tor IM Browser Bundle for Windows with Firefox and Pidgin (version 1.3.21, 25 MB)
The Tor IM Browser Bundle has been temporarily discontinued.
BETA: Tor Browser Bundle for Intel Mac OS X 10.5 and higher with Firefox (version 2.2.34-2, 28 MB)
BETA: Tor Browser Bundle for Linux with Firefox (version 2.2.34-2 (32-bit), 2.2.34-2 (64-bit), 24 MB)
See our instructions on how to verify package signatures, which allows you to make sure you've downloaded the file we intended you to get. Also, note that the Firefox in our bundles is modified from the default Firefox; we're currently working with Mozilla to see if they want us to change the name to make this clearer.

Mac OS X instructions

Download the file above, save it somewhere, then click on it. Mac OS X will automatically unarchive it and you will have a TorBrowser application in your chosen language (for example, TorBrowser_en-US.app). Click the TorBrowser application to launch Vidalia. Once Vidalia connects to Tor, it will launch Firefox.

Linux instructions

Download the architecture-appropriate file above, save it somewhere, then run:
tar -xvzf tor-browser-gnu-linux-i686-2.2.34-2-dev-LANG.tar.gz or tor-browser-gnu-linux-x86_64-2.2.34-2-dev-LANG.tar.gz (where LANG is the language listed in the filename), and either double click on the directory or cd into it, then execute the start-tor-browser script. This will launch Vidalia and once that connects to Tor, it will launch Firefox. Do not unpack or run TBB as root.

Windows instructions

Extraction

Download the file above, and save it somewhere, then double click on it. Click on the button labelled "..." (1) and select where you want to save the bundle then click OK (2). At least 50 MB free space must be available in the location you select. If you want to leave the bundle on the computer, saving it to the Desktop is a good choice. If you want to move it to a different computer or limit the traces you leave behind, save it to a USB disk.
Click Extract (3) to begin extraction. This may take a few minutes to complete.

Usage

Once extraction is complete, open the folder Tor Browser from the location you saved the bundle.
Double click on the Start Tor Browser (4) application (it may be called Start Tor Browser.exe on some systems.)
The Vidalia window will shortly appear.

bundle startup
Once Tor is ready, Firefox will automatically be opened. Only web pages visited through the included Firefox browser will be sent via Tor. Other web browsers such as Internet Explorer are not affected. Make sure that it says "Tor Enabled" (5) in the bottom right corner before using it. To reduce the risk of confusion, don't run Firefox while using the Tor Browser Bundle, and close existing Firefox windows before starting.
If you installed the Tor IM Browser Bundle, the Pidgin instant messaging client will also be automatically opened.
Once you are finished browsing, close any open Firefox windows by clicking on the Close button
(×) (6). For privacy reasons, the list of webpages you visited and any cookies will be deleted.

Firefox
With the Tor Browser Bundle, Vidalia and Tor will automatically close. With the Tor IM Browser Bundle you need to also close Pidgin by right-clicking on the Pidgin icon (7), and choosing Quit (8).

Pidgin
To use the Tor Browser Bundle or Tor IM Browser Bundle again, repeat the steps in "Usage".
Remember that Tor anonymizes the origin of your traffic, and it encrypts everything inside the Tor network, but it can't encrypt your traffic between the Tor network and its final destination. If you are communicating sensitive information, you should use as much care as you would on the normal scary Internet — use HTTPS or other end-to-end encryption and authentication.

Comments and suggestions

The Tor Browser Bundle is under development and not yet complete. To discuss improvements and submit comments, please use the tor-talk mailing list.

Hotspot Shield 2.18 Download

Despite the name, Hotspot Shield can be used to protect both wired and wireless internet connections, and it has been designed to allow safe, secure internet access wherever you may be. From wireless hotspots in towns and cities, to making use of free internet connections in airports and hotels, there are risks associated with access the internet on the move. Hotspot Shield create a virtual private network which in turn helps to secure your internet connection and protect personal information from potential hackers.

Your IP address is kept private making it possible to browse the internet anonymously, but the key focus is on security. The program also has a number of other benefits. By acting as a proxy, Hotspot Shield makes it possible to access parts of the internet that might otherwise be blocked. Web sites that are restricted to visitors from particular countries can be accessed regardless of where you are

It is worth pointing out that during the installation of Hotspot Shield, various other programs and browser toolbars are offered as optional extras. These are not needed to use the program and can be safely ignored. Whether you are concerned about your privacy, or what to access limited international site, Hotspot Shield is worth checking out.

Free Browsing Settings On MTN Nigeria With Your Freedom

If you’re new to your-freedom software, there’s an old post I wrote on it’s basic configuration but you actually don’t need it if you’re quite used to this firewall bypassing software and all previously used tricks. You should first create an account as a free user at your-freedom.net to to use this tunneling application. As at the time of writing this post (25th Aug., 2011) , Your Freedom client software works free on MTN Nigeria. For years, your-freedom has been working on Nigerian networks including MTN, Glo, Etisalat and Airtel since the settings is quite flexible and the software developers are constantly updating the software and maintaining their different servers located in different countries making it easy to hide your IP address and break firewall as well.
After creating your free account and verifying your email address, configure the software as follows to work free on MTN:
1. Install the software, select your desired language (English) and cancel the welcome message
2. Click on Configure and key in the following settings on the page that pops up:
* Address – www.mtnfootball.com
* Port – 80
* Connection Mode – HTTP
or POST (POST works better at times)
* Tweak – None
Under options, check the 3rd, 5th, 6th and 7th box.
* Minimum Buffer Size – 1500
* Reconnection Delay – 5000
* Initial Post SIze – 10000000
* Minimum POST Size – 20000
3. Click on Account Information tab and enter your username and password.
4. Click on Proxy Settings tab and key in the following settings:
* Proxy Address – ems01.your-freedom.de
* Port – 80
5. Click Save and Exit.This should take you back to the main window
6. Now click on Ports tab and check Socks 4/5 and Web Proxy
7. Now select the Status tab and click on Start Connection

If every thing is set right and the network is ok, you should get connected as the door icon pushes open.
Now launch Mozilla Firefox or any browser of your choice and change the proxy settings to 127.0.0.1:8080 or localhost:8080 . For Firefox:
* Click on Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Settings.
* Select Manual Proxy Configuration
* Enter 127.0.0.1 for HTTP Proxy
* Key in 8080 for Port
* Check Use this proxy server for all protocols
* Click OK and save your settings
If you’re looking for how to change proxy settings for other browsers, you can check this post. Though Your Freedom software might be connected, you still won’t be able to surf the internet if your browser proxy settings is wrong.
Like I said earlier, this settings works at the time this blog post was published. In case it got blocked or you still need help configuring the software, there are members at our web forum always ready to help you for free.
LIMITATIONS
Though Your Freedom is released as a freeware, there are certain limitations as a free user. Your maximum connection time is limited to sixty minutes. This means you will be disconnected from your-freedom server after every 60 minutes and there’s no known way to bypass this annoying limit. Your maximum daily connection time is also limited to 6 hours. You’re allowed a total connection time of 15 hours per week as a free user and this is definitely not enough especially if you use the internet a lot. You can view this page to view all the limitations and upgrade your account if you really want to.
Anyway, enjoy this free brosing trick with Your-Freedom on MTN Nigeria while it lasts!
